For manufacturers & suppliers

Let every rope you supply carry its own record

RopeID® supplies the physical tags and the digital record behind them. You assign a tag to a rope, link its certificate, and your customer follows the rope from there.

Value

What tagging changes for your business

Identity assigned where the rope is made or supplied

Choose the tag size for the rope, attach it, and the rope leaves with a unique QR code and number already assigned.

Certificates attached to the rope, not to an inbox

Link the certificate and supporting documents to the tag's record so your customer can always reach the current paperwork.

Fewer document requests after delivery

When the rope carries its own record, routine 'can you resend the certificate' requests go to the tag instead of your team.

One approach across steel and synthetic

The same tagging method covers wire rope, mooring lines, tails and slings across your range.

Process

How tagging fits your production or supply flow

Your team works through the first four steps; your customer picks up the fifth.

  1. 01

    Choose the tag size

Select the tag housing that matches the rope diameter, construction and service environment.

  2. 02

    Assign the unique code

Every tag carries one unique QR code and one printed number, so no two ropes share an identity.

  3. 03

    Attach it to the rope

The tag is mounted on the rope by the manufacturer, the supplier or on board, on steel wire and synthetic rope alike.

  4. 04

    Link the certificate

The rope's certificate and supporting documents are attached to the tag's digital record.

  5. 05

    Access the digital record

Anyone with permission opens the record from the tag and follows the rope through its lifecycle.
